I received a surprise package for the shop yesterday that contained several copies of the CD Let the Record Show by Ghostrain (Luke Gustafson). I had never heard of Ghostrain before but Tyler and I gave it a listen and we really liked it! The CD is very nicely packaged in a silkscreened gatefold. Our favorite track was "Heart Ache: 4 Miles". Thanks Luke!

"Heart Ache: 4 Miles" and the title track are both amazing.
I was one of the four people in the audience at his last Victoria show, and it was great.
It was also refreshing to hear somebody so utterly devoid of aspirations to hipsterdom. No calculated 'freak-folk' personas or pseudo naive sing-a-longs- just strange and beautiful songwriting by a humble and talented guy.

awesome! i haven't heard anything he's done since magic ass (and since he moved to toronto) so i'll have to check it out.
