Tyler removed the old carpet from inside the shop yesterday and now we're left with glue covered lino! We've tried several methods of removing the glue but none seem to work. Suggestions anyone?

After watching loads of those home-repair and improvement shows, I think you're probably going to have to look at laying down new linoleum. If you were actually able to get that glue off, I would imagine that the cost of the remover plus the number of hours it would take would be greater than new lino. :(

When we moved into our office, there was this awful carpet which we pulled up ourselves. There was tile underneath, and we had the idea that maybe we could pull all of it up and polish the concrete underneath. We started pulling up tile only to discover that there were several layers of tile underneath that. (Our building was built in the 30's.) We ended up putting down laminate flooring which wasn't too bad.

Patrick, we were really trying to be thrifty but it seems you're right. That glue definitely isn't going to come off. We're looking into a couple different options for what we can put on top. I'll post photos when it's done!

Amy, We are VERY excited about the store, I can't wait for it to finally open. I don't mind the snow but it makes Tyler's long commute to work a little difficult!

So when do you hope to open the shop by? If you are interested I would love to sell my earrings/jewellry @ your shop! I have successfully sold my items at a few different events....it would be an easy thing to send, very lightweight etc. Anyways let me know what you think. I'll be praying that it all comes together...it sounds like quite an undertaking! :)AMY(:

Amy, We are hoping to open the first week of December and then get the online shop ready for January. I would be happy to sell your jewelry! I'm going to email you a consignment contract right now.
