Two artists move from Vancouver, B.C., population: 2 million, to Dana, Saskatchewan, population: 30.
Can they survive rural life?
(amendment: two artists barely survive 4 months in Dana and buy a building in nearby Bruno, population: 500)

i am mailing you that rural book this week & perfect snow timing - a scarf i made! ^__^ how is your house holding up to the cold?? - lori
How lovely! We don't know that many people here so getting mail is always terribly exciting. Tyler and I are going to come up with something to send you in return. Our house is holding up alright. Our 1959 furnace works, although it's super loud. We were told it's cracked but instead of replacing it we bought a carbon monoxide detector. Yesterday we bought some of that window saran wrap insulator you install with a hair dryer. Out basement smells super musty so we don't go down there, need to save up for a dehumidifier.
